Sport fenders

Postby Vdoalvin » Thu Feb 01, 2018 6:24 pm

Finally came in today. I installed the rear fender since it was a simple snap-on installation but I’m not ready to remove the front wheel tonight, maybe I’ll be more up for the challenge this weekend.

Wait, the front requires wheel removal?
The old ones didn't, you just had to squeeze them together a bit to wedge them in. I wonder what changed in the design.

Either way, that looks REALLY good!

Yes, if you flip a sport upside down you will see 2 pre drilled holes recessed in the aluminum frame. This indicates to me that the front fender was engineered to be there from the gitgo.

Good video for “NEW” Sport models. If you have a vintage Sport you will need someone to assist you to hold the motor while you screw in the fender. I was by myself so I installed it right side up.
Also a flat blade screwdriver will be handy in releasing the lock washers.
